Make it little

My new favorite thing is taking my cloths that I no longer wear or that are ruined in some way and making them smaller to fit my girls. Really, you should try it. I am one of those who only knows how to sew a straight line. So here is the trick.. If I am sizing down a skirt I take one of the girls skirts that fit them and lay it on top of my skirt that is turned inside out. I pin an outline on my skirt around hers and sew. After I have sewed it all I cut the access off.

These two tanks my mom was getting rid of. I pinched the shoulder portion up and sewed to bring up the neck line and than did the above explanation only with one of their dresses. The bows on the shoulders came from excess I cut off.

This used to be one of my favorite skirts but I had not worn it in years so it was in the give away pile. It is now one of her favorite skirts.

This was one of my favorite sweaters 10 years ago (can you believe I still have it). It was short and had moth holes which are now covered up by that flower. This was a bit trickier because I had to take of the sleeves, re size them and sew them back on but again, it was done the same way. I matched it up to one of their sweaters.
